Autumn Festival 2014 - Yuroke daham niketanaya


Autumn Festival will be held on Sunday the 16th of March 2014 from 9.00am to 6.00pm. Variety of fun activties for Kids and adults including Face Painting and Jumping Castle. Demonstration of Ayuervedic medicine methods and a Clinic will be featured. Variety of take away food items and snacks also available throughout the day from our food stalls. Come and spend the day leisurely with families and enjoy the scenic and serene atmosphere of Daham Niketanaya.

ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ වික්ටෝරියා ප්‍රාන්තයේ ක්‍රෙගීබර්න් නගරයේ යුරොක් දහම් නිකේතන විහාරයේ කඨින පිංකම කෝට්ටේ සනතින්ද්‍රිය හා කෝට්ටේ පංචින්ද්‍රිය නාහිමිවරුන්ගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් අද පැවැත්විණි.
උතුරු වික්ටෝරියා බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ සහ අන්‍යාගමිකයකු මූල්‍ය හා ද්‍රව්‍යමය ප්‍රදානයන්ගෙන් යුරොක් දහම් නිකේතන විහාරස්ථාන භූරියේ, සිදුහත් උත්පත්තියේ සිට පිරිනිවන් මංචකය දක්වා පිළිම නෙලා ඇත. මතර තොරණින් ඇතුළුවනවාත් සමග වෙහෙර වහන්සේ නමක් අවලෝකිතේෂ්වර හිටි පිළිම වහන්සේ, බෝධින් වහන්නේ සහ අවුකන බුදු පිළිම වහන්සේගේ අනුරුවක් ඉදි කැර ඇත.
කඨින චීවරය තැන්පත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ 21 නමක් අවුකන බුදුපිළිම වහන්සේ වැද නමස්කාර කළහ.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවෙන් වැඩම කළ භඵික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ මෙන්ම, ඒස්ට්‍රේලියා, වියට්නාම සහ ලාඕස් භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ ද මේ පිංකමට සහභාගී වූහ. මාලා විජේනායක පවුලේ ප්‍රධාන දායකත්වයෙන් පින්කම සිදු විය.

Katin Pinkama 2012 at Yuroke Temple - Daham Niketanaya

This year Katina Festival will be celebrated on Sunday the 18 the of November 2012 with two new events that take place could change the beauty of the landscape of Daham Niketanaya and its surroundings even more.
Ceremonies of newly created cultural site and the laying of foundation stone for the proposed sanga hall will be the two new events in addition to Katina festival . The centre piece of the cultural site is the 25 feet standing tall, a replica of world tallest and famous Auykana Buddhist statue located in Sri Lanka. The statue is being complemented by its surrounding statues from other Buddhist cultures around the world and the progressive landscaping.

  • 9.30 am --Laying Foundation Stone for Proposed Sanga Hall>
  • 10.00 am--Katina Procession.
  • 10.30 am -- Opening of the cultural site
  • 11.00 am-- Buddha pooja and offering Alms and Robes to the monks.
  • 12.30 am-- Anusasana and transferring of Merits

Invitation to UN Vesak Celebrations on 21 May 2011- Join in the Victorian Buddhist Community’s commemoration of Vesak 2011

2,600 years ago the Bodhisattva Siddhartha sat in meditation under the Bodhi tree in India to win enlightenment for himself and all beings. As we commemorate the 2600th year of Buddha’s enlightenment Victorian Buddhists from many traditions and communities will join together in an exciting program that is the Victorian Observance of the United Nations Day of Vesak 2011.
The United Nations Victorian Day of Vesak 2011 will be held on Saturday the 21st of May 2011 in the heart of the City of Melbourne at the Melbourne Town Hall. This year’s program includes the Vesak parade led by the Sangha from the State Library of Victoria to the Melbourne Town Hall, a Dhamma talk, an original musical stage performance and many other interactive activities. Please find the event programme attached.
Together with your temples support, the Organising Committee aims to provide a unique Buddhist event of local, national and international significance offering vast blessings and benefit for Victoria, Australia and all beings.
