Exposition of Sacred Buddha Relics in Canberra
27th 28th & 29th MAY 2010
Sri Lanka High Commission and Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra, organised an exposition of Lord Buddha's Relics in Canberra with the support of Buddhist Federation of Australia and Australia Sri Lanka Buddhist Association of Canberra.
The Most Venerable Wendaruwa Sri Upali Nayaka Thero, the Chief Incumbent Polonnaruwa Solosmasthana Rajamaha Viharaya, has offered the Buddha's Relic to the Most Venerable Sudham Tiravanich (Sudhammo Bhikkhu), President of the Buddhist Federation of Australia (BFA) on 29th June 2009 in order to be preserved in a shrine at Wat Phra Dhammakaya temple in Sydney, Australia for the blessing of all Australia.

27th May 2010 - Launch at Belconnen Arts Centre, 118, Emu Bank, Belconnen
10.00 am Commencement of the program
10.00 – 10.30 am Relics to be escorted in with traditional Sri Lankan dancers / drummers (magul bera)
Perform traditional Buddhist religious rituals, i.e offering of gilan pasa, offering flowers, lighting incense etc
10.30 – 11.00 am Buddhist religious chanting
11.00 – 11.30 am Speeches
